Who are we? We seek to be a radical, racially diverse, transgender-inclusive, working-class-inclusive, and straight-ally-inclusive grassroots organization working for Full Federal Equality for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and  transgender persons.  We seek passage of either an updated 28th Equal Rights Amendment or a comprehensive update to the Civil Rights Act, legislating "That there shall be no discrimination based on gender, gender identity or sexual orientation in all matters of civil law in the United States".

Who are we not?
We are NOT corporate-run.  We are NOT willing to sit back and accept crumbs from our political leaders and professional lobbyists.  We do NOT see marriage equality as the only important struggle.  We do NOT turn our backs on the issues of racial and economic justice that confront our community at large.  We believe that any injustice or oppression  -- be it systemic or individual -- is morally wrong.  We stand in solidarity with all struggles for justice.  Yet, we also understand that we cannot be a true grassroots organization if we exist simply to continue existing. Sometimes effective organizations are effective precisely because they focus with precision on one specific goal.  We will not fall into the trap of believing that we -- as queer activists -- know best how other anti-oppression struggles ought to proceed. Therefore, we vow to exist only until full federal protection for LGBT individuals and communities is enacted.
